PPP celebrates ZAB’s birthday

The birthday of former prime minister Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was celebrated by Pakistan People’s Party leaders and workers at the Governor House on Thursday. Speaking at the occasion, Governor Latif Khan Khosa said that no one could sabotage the people’s mandate that every child of the country was ready to defend. He said that a democratically elected government was ruling the country, which was formed for the people and not for the non-democratic forces. The governor said further that Bhutto was the name of an ideology and his family had given their blood for democracy in Pakistan.
He said that Kashmiris were the brothers of Pakistanis and the government stood by ZA Bhutto’s stance of Kashmir being the jugular vein of Pakistan. Hence the government would be ready to give any sacrifice for Kashmir. A cake-cutting ceremony was held at the occasion, followed by a photo exhibition of ZA Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto. The ceremony was attended by prominent PPP leaders, including Member National Assembly (MNA) Faryal Talpur and Senator Jehangir Badar.
