Pir Pagara shifted to London ‘on Hurs’ advice’

After strong persistence of his followers, Pir Pagara – the spiritual leader of the Hur Jamaat – was flown to London by a special air ambulance on Thursday morning for further treatment, after spending over a month in hospital.
Reliable sources told Pakistan Today that the Hur Jamaat has donated Rs 106 million for the treatment of the Pakistan Muslim League Functional (PML-F) president in London. “The amount was handed over to the chief khalifa of Pagara by the Hur Jamaat,” they said.
“Pagara was shifted to London by his family because of strong pressure by the Hur Jamaat,” the sources said. “Hurs are of the view that if money is not a problem, then why is their leader not being sent to London for surgery or treatment.”
Pagara was admitted to a private hospital in Karachi on November 24, 2011 but his condition remains critical. After confirming he was able for travelling abroad for treatment, the doctors allowed the family of the political leader to take him to London.
The sources said that one of the lungs of the PML-F chief has completely malfunctioned and chances of his recovery are low. “Pagara will be admitted to the Sir Washington Hospital in the south of London
To arrange proper treatment of his father, Pagara’s son Pir Sadruddin Shah Rashidi had left for London on Wednesday.
On Thursday, the PML-F president’s family arranged an air ambulance with all emergency medical facilities during the long journey.
Early in the morning, a large number of party workers and followers reached the Quaid-e-Azam International Airport to see off their leader as Pagara was brought to the airport by the private hospital’s ambulance.
Insiders in Kingri House told Pakistan Today that a team of three doctors and nurses accompanied Pagara during his flight to London.
Besides the medical team, the elder son of Pagara, Pir Sibgahtullah Rashdi, PML-F leader Imtiaz Shaikh and Pagara’s wife also accompanied the veteran politician.
The air ambulance carrying the PML-F chief left for London via Turkey.
