The Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), on the appeal of the JI ameer Munawar Hasan, would organise countrywide protest on Friday (today), against the energy crisis, stoppage of gas supply to the industry and unjustified raise in utility bills. JI Secretary General Liaquat Baloch would lead a rally in Gujranwala, Dr Farid Ahmed Piracha would lead the rally at Multan Road, Lahore, while JI Karachi ameer Muhammad Husain Mehnati would lead the rally from Noman Mosque to Guru Templ. The Peshawar rally would be led by JI Deputy Chief Siraj-ul-Haq. Rallies in other cities of the country, including Quetta, Multan, Bahawalpur, Rawalpindi and Faisalabad would also be held.
