CM meets Turkish PM

Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif called on Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan on Thursday, who expressed heartiest well wishes on his behalf and on behalf of the people of Turkey for the people of Pakistan. During the meeting which lasted for more than an hour, both the leaders agreed to enhance the bilateral cooperation and promote strong economic ties.
The CM, while expressing his gratitude to the Turkish PM, termed his visit as an extremely memorable one and a milestone for the progress and prosperity of the people of Pakistan, especially Punjab. Apprising the PM on the economic relations between Punjab and Turkey, the CM said Turkish government and investors could enhance cooperation with Pakistan in various sectors including energy, transport and infrastructure. He informed about the activities of Turkish government organisations in different sectors in Punjab and expressed the hope that the joint cooperation would further increase in the coming days.
Erdogan assured the CM that Turkey would extend all out cooperation for improving economic condition of Pakistan. He said both the countries have same values and would extend cooperation. He said the CM’s visit was an important step in bilateral ties.
