The top brass of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), also known as the core committee, will meet today (Thursday) to finalise its strategy to deal with the contentious issues confronting the party leadership, including pending cases of NRO, contempt notices served on party leaders, presidential reference for reopening the ZAB case and the memo controversy.
Though the presidency staff expressed ignorance about the meeting that was not included in official engagements of the president, a party leader said the decision was taken during a meeting of the president with Dr Babar Awan.
Despite repeated attempts, no official word was available about the time of meeting, but a source said the meeting would be held in the afternoon on Thursday.
