Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah said the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) founder Zulfikar Ali Bhutto gave the nation a vision.
Talking to media after a ceremony held in connection with the birthday of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto at the CM House, he said, “The country would have been under the people’s rule alone, had the government of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto not been toppled.”
Commenting on the statement by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Chief Mian Nawaz Sharif regarding setting up military courts, Qaim said that the statement stands in contradiction of democracy and human rights, adding even his (Nawaz’s) aides are opposing him now.
When asked about the homecoming of former President General (rtd.) Pervez Musharraf in Karachi, Qaim Shah voiced displeasure and ended his talk.
