FIFA appoints Faisal as Players’ Status Committee member

Pakistan Football Federation President Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat has been designated as member of the “Players’ Status Committee” of Federation Internationale de Football Associations (FIFA). He has been given the assignment in addition to his previous job as member with the FIFA’s Disciplinary Committee. Faisal has been the first ever Pakistan official in the 64 years history of Pakistan to have got the unique distinction of becoming member of dual committees of FIFA from South Asian region. A PFF official felt pride in having Faisal in the FIFA committee. “The appointment of Faisal is not only a great honour and pride for the Pakistan but also the entire football family of Asia as he has been entrusted with yet another assignment which reflects trust reposed by FIFA in his leadership.
The parent football body of the world has recognised the services rendered by the President PFF for the promotion of soccer in Asia, he added. The “Players’ Status Committee” shall set up and monitor compliance with the regulations on the status and transfer of players and determine the status of players for various FIFA competitions. Its powers of jurisdiction are governed by the FIFA regulations on the status and transfer of players. It is also responsible for the work of the Dispute Resolution Chamber in accordance with the Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players and the Rules Governing the Procedures of the Players’ Status Committee and the Dispute Resolution Chamber.
