Information Minister Firdaus Ashiq Awan said on Thursday that all the military institutions were working under the federal government, a private TV channel reported.
She was talking to media at an event held to commemorate late Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto’s 84th birth anniversary here.
She said it was hard to grasp what kind of control (over military) PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif was aiming at.
Reminding Sharif of the fiasco he faced back in the day, Firdaus said he (Sharif) shouldn’t forget he earned himself a forced exile in a similar adventure.
To a question, she rejected the possibility of snap-polls saying the Election Commission was not prepared for it, so early elections were out of question.
