Mohajir Qaumi Movement-Haqiqi (MQM-H) chief Afaq Ahmed on Thursday filed a petition in the Supreme Court’s Karachi Registry regarding contempt of court.
The petition makes the federal interior secretary, Sindh’s chief secretary, Sindh’s additional chief secretary and IG Sindh parties to it.
In his petition, Ahmed claimed that an inaccurate picture was shown to the Supreme Court regarding Karachi’s law and order situation as well as the existence of no-go areas in the city.
He further stated that his house had been transformed into a sub-jail and that those who come to visit him were being harassed and tortured.
