Police nab seven

The city police on Tuesday arrested seven outlaws from various areas of the city for their alleged involvement in robberies, bootlegging and for possessing illegal weapons. The police also recovered 40 bottles of liquor, four 30-bore pistols and looted items worth thousands of rupees from their possession. An Islamabad police spokesman said the Shehzad Town police acted on a tip-off and arrested three dacoits during a raid near the highway.
The dacoits were identified as Jaffer Khan, Imran and Ishfaq. According to the police, three pistols were also recovered from the arrested accused who confessed to their involvement in several robberies. Moreover, the Koral police arrested Sajjad for possessing a 30-bore pistol while the Islamabad CIA police apprehended Gul Alam for possessing a 2-bore carbine. Separately, the Islamabad CIA police also arrested Kashif Masih and recovered 40 bottles of liquor from him. The Anti-Car Lifting Cell of the Islamabad police recovered a snatched car worth Rs 1.8 million.
