More than 50% of Lahore to remain in dark

Lahore Electrical Supply Company’s (LESCO) repair works on transmission lines will ensure that more than 50 percent of the city is without electricity supply for more than five consecutive hours over the next two days. According to a press statement issued on Monday, the electricity would be closed from 9am to 2pm today (Tuesday) in certain areas of Model Town, Iqbal Town, Muslim Town, Garden Town, Gulberg, RA Bazaar, Defence, Nishat Colony, Abid Majeed Road, Fortress Stadium, Tajpura, Askari-X, Sarfraz Rafique Road, Kot Lakhpat, Ghalib Market and Mini Market, Gulberg. On Wednesday, the electricity supply would be cut-off from 9am to 1pm in Race Course and Shadman. Power would be shut down from 9am to 2pm in Model Town Link Road, Wafaki Colony, Hussain Chowk, Defence-VIII, Cantonment, Shalimar, Beadon Road, Tajpura Chah Miran, Wapda Town, Township, Johar Town, Shahpura, Iqbal Town, Rewaz Garden and many suburbs.
