Man shot dead over petty enmity

A middle-aged man was murdered in Shadbagh Police limits on Monday. Faysal Butt, resident of Tajpura and father of four children, was a cable operator in the area. The family of the deceased stated in an application to the police that the accused Haris had developed grudges against Faysal after Faysal stopped the former from using abusive language in the street after being inebriated. Last Friday, both had a verbal clash after which the accused shot Faysal and fled from crime scene. Faysal sustained serious a bullet injury in the head and was shifted to the hospital where he passed away on Monday. A case was registered against the accused under Section 324 of PPC on Friday upon a complaint from the deceased’s father. After Faysal’s death, Shadbagh Police also included section 302 in charges against Haris, who is yet at large.
MAN FOUND DEAD: An unidentified man was found dead in mysterious circumstances in Tibbi City Police limits on Monday. The dead body of a middle-aged man was traced by some locals on Shimla Road but no identification documents were recovered from the body and it was suspected that the deceased was a drug addict who perished due to the hostile weather conditions in the city. Police moved the body to the city morgue.
