Race Course police has registered a case against 35 members of Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry including the president LCCI for violating the ban on protest rallies at Mall Road. The president and members of LCCI were accused of violating Section 144 imposed on rallies and protests on The Mall Road on orders of Lahore High Court.
The LCCI office bearers and members had arranged a protest walk against closure of gas fuel for industries from LCCI to Governor House and had also staged a sit-in outside Punjab Governor’s House. Race Course police registered a case against LCCI President Irfan Qaiser, Vice President Kashif Younas Maher, Senior Vice President Abdul Basit and other 35 members of the LCCI.
