Govt should quit so-called terror war: Fazl

The chief of his own faction of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) Maulana Fazalur Rehman Monday said that government must quit the so-called war on terror. Judiciary has to take suo motto notice on the accords signed with America in 2001.
Talking to media, he said that 35,000 people have been killed in the so-called terror war whereas country has suffered loss of seventy billion dollars. Hundreds of mosques and madrassas were also destroyed, he deplored.
If they have differences with the people who demand Shariat on gunpoint then the act of throwing Quranic verses in gutters is the major act of terrorism. He added that judiciary takes suo motto on minor issues but it hasn’t taken any action against the secret agreements signed with the US government in 2001.
Commenting on the matter of Memogate, the JUI chief said that everyone yearns for the investigation of memo scandal but JUI is waiting for the National Security Council and Judiciary’s investigative report.
Talking about Imran Khan, Fazlur Rehman said that proxy politicians surrounded Imran. It is better to call it Musharraf League as they all gathered to accomplish west’s agenda.
He added that the efforts to restore Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) are about to conclude and it would rise a strong political alliance in the coming elections.
