At least seven people, including a police constable, were gunned down in the city area of Guliana early Monday, officials said.
According to police, the armed miscreants opened gunfire on people sitting at a place in Guliana, killing Zulfikar, Mehboob, Mubeen, Usman, Imran and Constable Shafiq on the spot.
The incident is result of old enmity, police said.
Members of the bereaved families placed the bodies on the main highway to protest against the incident. The enraged protesters also pelted stones, injuring three policemen.
The firing incident triggered panic in the entire area.
