The finals of the SICAS-Salamat School Tennis Tournament will be played today here at the Bagh-i-Jinnah’s PLTA Courts.
On Friday, semi-final in all the age groups of under-18, 14, 12 and 10 were played and there was no major upset witnessed.
Saad Zafar and Ahmed Babar has reached the final of the under-18 singles and interesting matches is expected between the two players.
In under-14 category, Hafiz Arbab and Abdal Haider marched to the final while Hafiz Arbab Ali and Sahabzada Mohammad Ali would contest for under-12 title. And in the under-10 class, Mohammad Saeed and Taimur Ali will clash in the final on Saturday.
Results semi-finals: Under-18: Saad Zafar beat Mohammad Ahmed 6-3, 6-1 and Ahmed Babar beat Husnain Manzoor 7-5, 6-3. Under-14: Hafiz Arbab beat Bilal Shafi Sheikh 6-1, 6-0 and Abdal Haider beat Husssain Sheikh 6-3, 6-4. Under-12: Hafiz Arbab Ali beat Bilal Umer Mahdi 6-4, 7-5 and Sahabzada Mohammad Ali Humbal 6-3, 6-0. Under-10: Mohammad Saeed beat Mustafa Farhan 6-2 and Taimur Ali beat Hassan Ali 6-0.
