The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK)’s annual supplementary examinations 2011 are scheduled to start from today (Friday).
The board has established 28 examination centres for a total of 34,871 candidates, who would appear in the papers. At least 18, 848 male and 16,023 female candidates are registered for the supplementary exams in science group (pre-medical and pre-engineering), humanities (regular and private), commerce (regular and private), home economics and certification courses.
COMMERCE-I (PRIVATE) RESULTS: The BIEK announced the results of annual examinations-2011 of Commerce Group (Private) Part-I on Thursday.
BIEK Examinations Controller Imran Khan Chishti said that 7,460 candidates had registered for the exams and 7,174 students appeared in the exams. As many as 286 candidates were absent and results of two students were withheld, he added.
According to the result gazette, 1,058 candidates cleared all seven papers, 1,051 students were declared passed in six papers and 840 in five. A total of 695 students passed four subjects and 525 candidates managed clear three papers. While 371 students and 200 candidates passed two and one paper, respectively.
