Pakistan Muslim League (PML-Q) leader Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi criticised the Punjab government’s policies on Thursday, saying they had paralysed the industries of the province.
He expressed these views during a meeting heldat his residence with a delegation of industrialists from Faisalabad. The delegation was lead by PML-Q Punjab general secretary and MPA Chaudhary Zaheer who apprised elahi about the problems faced by the industries due to the energy crisis.
Elahi assured the industrialists that PML-Q would take up the matter with the prime minister to provide uninterrupted electricity and gas supply to the industry.
He said he would propose that the priorities regarding development projects be reviewed and that the resources of less important sectors be transferred from the Public Sector Development Programme to the energy sector.
