Mansoor Ijaz said on Friday that he welcomed the Supreme Court decision on admissibility of the memo case, a private TV channel reported.
Pakistani origin US-based businessman and main character of the memogate scandal, Mansoor Ijaz on Friday said he welcomed the Supreme Court’s decision on admissibility of the memo case.
Ijaz also announced to fully cooperate with the judicial commission. Ijaz, in a statement, said that all the characters involved in the scandal should behave patiently keeping in view the sensitivity of the matter.
He also criticised some elements in the Pakistani media and alleged that a media organisation was involved in his continuous character assassination right from the start of the scandal. He also announced to serve legal notice to the said organisation.
Ijaz probably set up Haqqani but President Zardari has nothing to do with the memo issue.

Memo is the same mistake that NS (second term) and BB (twice) did earlier. Both practically considered US to be the real source of power in Pakistan instead of the people of Pakistan. If AZ can tell a US ambassador that his Govt is because of US back in 2008, why he would not have authored such a memo is beyond my comprehension.
Yes, US is behind this (second) move against AZ due to his geo-political policies in Central Asia region. But Zardari is again ignoring the masses of Pakistan. He is not willing to accept his mistakes in public and set the record straight. Instead Zardari keeps parroting that he is as innocent as a new born.
PM ZAB went in public and showed the US memos to Pakistani Public with respect to Pakistan's Nuclear programme and thus got hanged. However, Zardari is a Jackal that wants to live long – forever. He would never divulge the truth to Pakistani public and ask for forgiveness. That attitude is what is haunting Zardari more than the memo itself. He has dug his own grave.
The Supreme Court has handled this case in a very legal and sensible manner. People of Pakistan are keen to know the reality of the memo and the hands behind this scandal. Asma Jahangir's with the supreme court decision is unjustified. After all no one has been held responsible by the court. Only an independent inquiry has been ordered. If it is a creation of Mansoor Ijaz then the Government must sue him in the international court of justice and if it is Haqqani's creation then he should be put on trial in a Pakistani court. In this entire episode the role of Government of Pakistan is dubious. Why should they oppose an independent inquiry if they have no involvement in the scandal. Why and under what law they are keeping Haqqani in the Presidency / PM House with full security and protocol. The Government is protecting him from the interrogation by intelligence agencies. It is a known fact that during his ambassadorial stint in Siri Lanka he had handed over Pakistan's foreign office secret code for coded correspondence to the US for some personal favours. He was caught by one of the embassy officer and Foreign Office had to suspend all their correspondence for several days till a new code was introduced. After that incident he went to US and did not visit Pakistan till he was appointed ambassador by Zardari. This can even be verified by most of retired Foreign Office officers. Unfortunately, we the Muslims have always suffered not because of our visible enemy but due to the traitors hidden with in our own ranks. Asma has been criticizing supreme court with lot of contempt but has been getting away due to the leniency of the court. It is high time that the court should haul up all such habitual offenders and teach them a lesson of their life.
SC used to term Generals as saviours of Pakistan. Now they have found notorious Mansoor Ijaz. This whole drama shows how weak we are. Anybody can exploit us and powers that be in Pakistan can use anybody to achieve their ulterior motives. This episode has proved how powerful is the lethal combination of Judges & Generals.
