Police have recovered an abducted infant from Machhar Colony and arrested three men for their involvement in the incident. Ten-month-old Fayyaz was kidnapped on Sunday from the Welcome Centre in Gulistan-e-Jauhar by the centre’s watchman Lal Karim. Later, police arrested Karim’s father from Mardan and brother from Machhar Colony. After gathering information from the family members, the law enforcers tracked Karim and arrested him. The kidnapped baby was recovered from his hideout in Machhar Colony. Similarly, the Shahrah-e-Faisal police have recovered a girl who was kidnapped three to five months ago from Mirpurkhas. The recovery was made possible with the collective efforts of the Anti-Violent Crime Cell and the Citizens-Police Liaison Committee. It is believed that the girl was subjected to rape during captivity.
ARRESTED: AVCC Superintendent of Police Ghulam Subhani has arrested suspect Ali Jan for abducting a Frontier Constabulary man a few months ago from Gadap Town. The kidnapper was admitted in the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre under a fake name.
