Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani on Wednesday said Asif Ali Zardari had once called him a future president of Pakistan. When I was sentenced by a judge of an accountability court, Asif Ali Zardari, now the president of Pakistan, was present in that court and told the judge that he [judge] was sentencing a future president,” Gilani said in a ceremony to mark the regularisation of 490 PTV employees. Gilani said Zardari had called him the future president because PPP leaders and workers always considered Benazir Bhutto to be their prime minister.

  1. he is even cant manage his current position and he is talking about future president. What he did for pak and he will see himself as a president in future

  2. Amazing how detached with reality can people become when in position of authority.

Is this just a wishful thinking or major lack of insight?

I think it is the later.

  3. Periodically we all suffer from delusion of granduer esp while asleep! who would have thought our prime minister would suffer from it .Surely the Mandela of Pakistan i.e our President saw the making of a great president and will soon alter his will accordingly or will he chose to reverse roles and become the prime minister himself. We wait with abatted breath!
Why do we always live in and worship the past? Nostalgia is wonderful as long as one does not start living in it.
