Senior Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Aitzaz Ahsan sought to refute the notion on Tuesday that he would “become the Javed Hashmi of PPP”, but hailed Hashmi as a leader of high calibre. Ahsan said in his address at Naudero on the 4th death anniversary of former premier Benazir Bhutto that the loss of Hashmi, a former Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader who recently joined the Imran Khan-led Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI), would cause the PML-N to suffer. However, he made it clear that he would not become the Javed Hashmi of the PPP and would stick with the party. “Don’t term my speech Javed Hashmi’s speech of Faisalabad,” he said, adding that Hashmi should not have left his party. Ahsan criticised PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi for speaking against President Asif Ali Zardari after leaving the PPP and also tried to get the party leadership to realise that the people were suffering at the hands of poverty and there was no gas and electricity for them and the party had done nothing for them. The leadership of the ruling party – facing a hostile establishment and a not-so-friendly judiciary in the wake of the memo crisis – has decided to bank on the legal and political acumen of Ahsan, sources said.
Aitzaz is a mentally weak person, something that came out clearly in the lawyers movement when he was at the peak of his popularity and the whole country was looking towards him to provide an alternative leadership but he choked under the pressure, even calling off the lawyers’ movement … he should better live to tutor young Bilawal (as per media reports) now than trying to emulate Javed Hashmi, a man with a singular strength of character and uprightness.

For fame and money you can sell the whole Nation with cheaper bid. Look at your past with that much touted bitch, who made you to do…….. Cannot you sense what PPP is doing with the common man. Aitizaz Ahsan and Jehangir Badr are die hard PPP guys. Both have sacrificed for the party for years. Jehangir even was torchered during his prison days during Zia's government. The way leaders are leaving the parties it is good to see some hard core like minded philosphy sharing leaders sticking to their guns and continuing to play their roll and keep the party morale high. Poet Faraz's verse comes to mind for the people leaving PPP. " Mayray he loug thay, mayray he dast-i-bazoo thay " So, politics is 360 degree circle and one never knows what happens next. But for now PTI stands out, PPP follows and PML(N) right behind, With MQM, ANP and JUI(F) there to make it or break it. Interestingly, it seems the regional parties are playing their roll well.

I admired you gratly when you single handed took on The mighty Gen .Musharaf and hounded him out! I told my Norwegian friends look at the guts of this man. He needs to be on the top-watch this space. This man has got guts and talent. Then i heard you were not very popular in PPP.I beleive your membership was suspened.?. You became silent. The PPP came in power –you were no where. I smelte a rat! why was a man of your calibre sidelined after you did what you did for your country.?

Our President first gave you the honour of following him to give a speech at BBB grave and now i hear you are asked tb a mentor to Bilawal. there are rumors that you might be the next prime minister.
