‘People must cultivate a reading habit’, says LHC CJ

Lahore High Court Chief Justice Azmat Saeed on Wednesday stressed the need for holding seminars at the Tehsil and district level throughout Punjab so that the senior lawyers could train the young lawyers and impart legal education on them.
The chief justice was talking to a delegation of the Kharian Bar Association who had called on him. The chief justice said that it was the need of the hour to inculcate reading habits among the youth, particularly the young lawyers and judges. This will help emanating early and quality judgments and better working of lawyers and young judges across the province, the chief justice said.
The bar leaders highlighted the problems confronting the bar, to which the CJ sought their cooperation for resolving them.
The CJ assured full support to the bar and said strong relations between the bench and the bar were essential for improving the legal and judicial system of the country.
