Imran scrutinises new entrants to PTI: Javed Hashmi

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan has devised a proper system to scrutinise everyone who joins his party, Javed Hashmi has said.
Speaking at a media briefing that he arranged in Multan to explain his reasons for joining the PTI, the former PML-N stalwart said that he was in politics to serve them.
Defending Imran’s strategy of welcoming senior political personalities in his recently-popular party, Hashmi said that if PML-N can accept all PML-Q members except the Chaudhry brothers then why Imran can’t allow people from other parties to join his PTI.
Hashmi, whose former party has blamed him of ‘selling’ himself to Imran, said that it was time that politicians should stop the blame game. “We have to end this blame game because it will never promote democracy in Pakistan. Our basic aim should be cleansing of politics in Pakistan.”
He said that the PML-N and its leadership still hold a special place in his heart. “I will never forget Nawaz Sharif’s righteous stand for democracy in the country.”
Talking about the 2013 elections, he said that PTI was fully prepared and stood a great chance at the next polls.
Responding to a question about Pakistani neuroscientist Dr Aafia Siddiqui who is jailed in the US, he said that America ignores all pleas. “They do whatever they want and pick up anybody from anywhere.”
“I know that in many issues, the government’s hands are tied and it is helpless.” Aimal Kasi [Pakistani who shot CIA officials in the US in 1993] was hanged during the PML-N’s government and we were not even informed,” he said.

  1. Mr, Hashmi – you justify accepting shady politicians into PTI by giving example of PML-N accepting PML-Q people…..this justification is extremely worrisome because Imran claims that he and PTI are exact opposites of Nawaz and PML-N – however by acting just like PML-N or any other mainstream political party, the actions contradict the claims.
Politics of same old compromise will doom PTI !!!

    • please don't take things so literally … PTI has to win elections to do something … they have had common decent people as party members since 15 yrs and nobody voted for them … Pakistani politics and democracy is a lot different its not US or Europe where anybody can win or fight elections … he needs people who can win seats, he has tried common people and learned his lesson, he should include ex-politicians even if they are shady .. thats the best we can hope for now … things don't change over night they take decades … let him reach the power corridors first .. once there he can be selective and different .. right now he can't afford it …

    • Kaptaan Khan knows very well to drive a team of good & bad players together and to win at the end. Don't worry dude!

  2. javed hashmi u r gr8 leader and ur decision is also brave decission i appreciate ur decission

  3. javed hashmi pml n has only said that it can take all members except chaudhry brothers-, it has not yet taken and the onces who were taken were pml q minor members not pml q major members who were advisers of musharraf and great beneficiaries of musharrafs government and up till now no such criteria has been viewed by anyone which scruitinizes the entrants i dont know sir which scruitinizing you are talking about

    • Janab Owais bro, Nawaz Shareef announced to take all Q league members. But unluckily, those members didn't join Nawaz Shareef. But Nawaz Shareef tried his best to catch all of them.

      Failure Nawaz Shareef.

      Goog Night bro.

  4. While trying to preach morality in politics, Mr. Imran Khan has set the bar too high and is now finding it difficult for himself to live up to his own benchmarks.
I remember hearing Mr. Khan say that when accused of corruption, our politicians talk back at their opponents telling them that they have done more corruption.
The same applies to PTI now.
Mr. Hashmi you are a great leader but please remember the age old saying "TWO WRONGS DO NOT MAKE A RIGHT"

  5. Hashmi sab ko hosh aya hy…..Now its time to say good bye to all the corrupt and plunder politicians and join hands with Imran khan to lookforward for a prosperous pakistan

  6. Just because somebody happened to be in a political party that is unfavourable these days. So what….
Many people are in jobs that they don't want to do but they put up with it because they have little choice. Anyway, these politicians that are now moving to PTI, if they themselves have done no wrong then there is no fault in taking them in. After all it is very unlikely that Musharaf (or whoever) consulted them before making his decisions.

  7. we the young generation appreciate m.hasmi for joining pti…..we want change..i belong to halqa 148…

  8. good luck for hashmi for taking bold step of joining PTI. As a matter of fact, you have left PML n very reluctantly just for the sake of giving companionship to great cause Imran Khan has embarked on " Positive Change in the Society" which PML (N) could not do despite of being in power for quite some time in the last two decades. Vocal ones wrongly cry over Imran Khan's taking old tried faces into his party, because it is the competent and sincere leadership that can change the destiny of a nation with same team that could not have delivered because their leadership wanted to keep status quo.
