DHA Wild Bears beat DHA Greens 12-7 in the final of the DHA Rugby Tournament on the occasion of the Quaid-e-Azam day at the DHA Rugby Stadium with eight club teams taking part in the rugby 7s tournament.
DHA’s two clubs beat Lahore Djuice Rams and UMT university team in the semi finals to go make it an all DHA final. The other good performance was by Garrison Servis Bulls. DHA Rugby Program is one of the leading Programs in Pakistan especially by Tariq Niazi. Fully supported and sponsored by Defense Housing Society. DHA L block has a sate-of-the-art rugby ground with international standard lights. In the final, both the teams were equally matched and in the dying minutes of the final, the second half was scored by the Man of the Tournament Daoud Gill. In the concluding ceremony, chief guest General Secretary Punjab Rugby Association Khuram Haroon gave shields to winning and runners up team.
