Academic activities at the Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology (FUUAST) were suspended on Monday after a clash between the Pakhtun Students Federation (PkSF) and the People’s Students Federation (PSF). University sources said the clash erupted after the PkSF activists tried to enter the campus and the PSF activists attacked them with batons and iron rods. They said an altercation over a petty issue led the activists of both the organisations into a violent fight. FUUAST administration had to call the police and Rangers to bring the situation under control.
EXAM POSTPONED: The examination scheduled to be held on Tuesday was postponed in view of Benazir Bhutto’s death anniversary. The new date for the exam would be announced later by the varsity.
