Lahore High Court (LHC) has issued notices to the federal government and NEPRA on a petition filed against power and gas load-shedding and sought reply from them by December 28.
The petition was filed by a local advocate Azhar Siddique taking the plea that the government was not making payment to oil companies and consequently causing load shedding in the country.
During the hearing of the petition, LHC Chief Justice remarked that load shedding had begun in LHC now and it had multiplied the miseries of people. No delay will be made in hearing of the petition, he said.
