The opening match of Shape’s Multinational Departmental Cricket League was played here between Aitchison College Department cricket team and Nestle at Aitcheson College Ground on Sunday. Nestle won the toss and put Aitcheson to bat first. Aitcheson bating first made 224 runs all out in 29.5 overs. Uzair Rafique made 46, Faiz Qamar 46, Basim Riaz 32 and Muhammad Riaz 24. From Nestle Pakistan Rana Irfan took 3 for 29, and Hamid Hayat 2 for 48. In reply, Nestle Pakistan scored 149 (all out) in 24.2 overs. Hamid Hayat 74* (not out), Daud Jawad 23, and Shabbir Baig 10 runs. From Aitchison Faiz Qamar took 5 for 32 and Sheroz Shafqat 2 for 32, Hamza Aamir 1 for 32 and Muhammad Maqsood 1 for 32. Faiz Qamar was declared man of the match. The match was supervised by Umpires M Kaleem & Saghir Ahmed and Scorer Zahoor Alam.
