The government is contemplating a monthlong closure of CNG stations in Sindh during the month of January, said Federal Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Dr Asim Hussain on Saturday. “The decision is not yet final and the proposal is still being deliberated upon,” he told journalists following a convention at the University of Karachi. The minister said the government was forced to make tough decisions due to unrealistic policies adopted by the previous government. “Acute shortage of natural gas and the energy crisis leave little options but to be pragmatic,” he said.
