CDA holds special Christmas Bazaar

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) held “Christmas Bazaar” here on Sunday to facilitate Christians on the festive occasion. The CDA organised Christmas Bazaar at the G-6 Weekly Bazaar near Lal Masjid here. CDA Chairman Engineer Farkhand Iqbal inaugurated the event which was participated by the many Christian families from different areas of the city.
Special stalls were set up for the Christians in addition to providing them the items of daily use at cheaper rates.
The CDA also organised a two day colourful Christmas Gala “Colours of Islamabad Christmas Carnival” at Fatima Jinnah F-9 Park. The first ever Christmas Family Gala organised in the history of Islamabad comprised different stalls, shops, food courts, game shows and play-rides for the children and other festivities designed specially for the Christmas.
The gala was adorned with the Christmas trees and Santa Claus effigies. A large number of families and children visited the spot and appreciated the efforts of the CDA for organising such an event.
Speaking on the occasion, the CDA chairman said that CDA had been organizing a number of programmes for the Christian community to commemorate their efforts for the development of Islamabad. This year’s event he said was a matchless festivity to add more to the colours of the Christmas celebrations. He reiterated that CDA always took pride in having Christians, as a peaceful and hardworking community in Islamabad.
The way the Christian employees of CDA had kept the city clean, especially during Eid-ul-Azha during last few years, he observed Later, Engineer Iqbal also lit up a Christmas tree and cut Christmas cake.

  1. Three days workshop on recent advances in chemistry was held in chemistry department of aiou islamabad was nice, which supported teachers to enhance the knowledge of chemistry, it should be arranged in future as well.
