Urdu play ‘Insha Ka Intizar’, directed and written by Anwer Jaffari, was presented by Tehreek-e-Niswan, Karachi Production, before the packed hall audience at the PNCA Auditorium. This play was the 14th segment of the series of plays of National Drama Festival 2011, organized by Pakistan National Council of the Arts, Ministry of National Heritage and Integration. All the artistes performed well, especially classical dancer Sheema Kirmani who enthralled the audience. She thinks that Insha (Insha Allah) will solve all the problems and everything get right automatically without any struggle. In the meantime, another character enters the scene in the name of Manshwallah i.e. (martial law) who comes without any reason and starts ruling civilians, tortures innocent civilians and treats them like slaves. Basically, the story is based on military dictatorship (martial law), the behavior of army dictators with civilians. The massage conveyed by the play is that we should struggle to bring about a change because no change can be brought simply by waiting and saying Insha Allah.
