Dr Paul Bhatti hosts interfaith dinner


Adviser to Prime Minister on National Harmony Dr Paul Bhatti hosted an interfaith dinner here at National Press Club (NPC) on Wednesday. The event aimed at providing an opportunity to people of different faiths to sit together in order to celebrate Christmas and promote interfaith relationship. A large number of people of different faiths including members of journalist and civil society communities attended the festivity to show unity among the nation, said a press statement issued here.
Earlier, addressing the participants, Dr Paul said the event and a big participation of people of different faiths showed that Pakistanis were a united nation and they always respected each others’ faiths. People of any religion have freedom to practice their faith without any fear in Pakistan, he observed. Dr Paul extended Christmas felicitation to all the Christians and renewed his pledge to continue struggle for the welfare and prosperity of the country. Later a special prayer service was held and a Christmas cake was also cut by Dr Bhatti.
