Former actor Zahid Khan died Tuesday night at his Model Town residence.
Khan was well-known for a film career started in 1964 and spanning over 20 years. During his career he made over 70 films, some of which were huge hits, including Dou Aansoo, Anhoni, Mera Pyaar Meri Dosti and others. He acted with Firdous and Shahid Khan in many of his films. Most movies were released in Urdu, while he also made some Punjabi films.
Khan was a patient of diabetes, and was consequently suffering from severe paralysis. His funeral prayers were observed on Wednesday evening.
Zahid Khan was handsome, ambitious and proactive young man. Always on to some thing to do, achieve, win and be recognized. I dearly remember him today and pray for his peace in heaven. I recall his day at Iftikhar Khan's film "Aansoo" – how happy he was to show us his stills of "gaoon mein geet nai". Then his ongoing "affairs". Allah may be guardian of his children.

Taimoor I am greatly saddened to hear about your father and just so very close to your mother's demise…. I still remember him when I used to come to your house and see him and whenever I used to pass by, I used to always greet him and he would smile and wave back. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
