Sindh High Court (SHC) Chief Justice (CJ) Mushir Alam’s abducted nephew who has been recovered by the police was produced before the media on Tuesday. In a press conference, Sindh Additional Inspector General of Police Akhter Gorchani told the media that Alam’s nephew Faizan had been kidnapped from Hassan Square. Gorchani said Faizan’s abductors shifted him to their hideaway before contacting his family and demanded a ransom of Rs 20 million.
He said the Citizens-Police Liaison Committee (CPLC) was able to trace the kidnappers after they made contact with the abductee’s family. “The CPLC worked on the case tirelessly and tracked the abductors’ exact location in Ghotki. Teams of the CPLC and the Anti-Violent Crime Cell reached the city and conducted an operation against the kidnappers,” he added.
Gorchani said the hours-long operation proved to be successful, as police arrested Juman Khan and Faiz Muhammad, and recovered Faizan.
