The militants on Wednesday released 16 laborers who were abducted two weeks ago from Tehsil Landi Kotal of Khyber Agency.
According to a private television channel, the abductees were freed after the successful dialogue between the militants and tribal elders.
It may be mentioned here that the persons were abducted by armed militants from the far-flung Shelman area of Landikotal near the Pak-Afghan border.
The abductees were the drivers and laborers who were carrying goods from Afghanistan to Pakistan.
