A man was murdered and his sister wounded near Sultanabad. Unidentified culprits opened fire on the man and the woman. The man was killed and the woman suffered bullet injuries as a result. Police said Iqbal and Nasreen were siblings and on their way to the city courts to attend the hearing of their case. The law enforcers suspect that the siblings were attacked over personal enmity. The deceased and the injured were shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre.
ROBBERY: Unidentified armed men stormed into a shop of a money changer in Clifton and took the staff hostage. The culprits escaped with over $20,000. Police arrived at the scene and cordoned off the area, but failed to track the robbers.
Separately, police arrested Faizan Faiz Rasool while he was robbing citizens in Block 13 of Gulistan-e-Jauhar. The law enforcers arrested the robber after a brief encounter, and recovered mobile phones and other valuables from his possession.
