Party Romance –Youth of Pakistan Watch Out

The regular use of internet and especially social media sites provides pretty good understanding of youth’s interests likes, dislikes, passions and most all their approach on recent issues. Today, a common fact is that majority of Pakistani youth is highly concerned about country’s volatile situation and consistently expresses their rage over the created clutter on different forums. Bumped up by the coarse circumstances, they are ready to endeavor for brushing off this mess.
But the striking element that can be noted among most of them is that, somehow innocently, they have attached their hopes with one or the other political party, and in spite of all the evident unconvincing proofs, they have faith in their party for doing better than the present government.
They are kind of die hard devotees of PTI, PML-N, JI, MQM etc (probably most of them have no idea of their parties manifestos even ) and in their romance with their party, they have developed poisonous mind-set for all the rest, categorising them to be corrupt, cowards, insincere and what not.
Being impeccably lulled by their party’s painted future dreams, they curse, taunt, tease and badly abuse other parties’ followers, because who is right??????………..well of course specifically their party. Here are a few instances of this newly developing devastating attitude among youngsters (there are other worst offensive examples as well but have deliberately been avoided to mention):
‘Imran Khan is the last hope of Waderas, Sajjada Nasheens, Jageerdars and Lottas………. Only Nawaz Sharif can lead us for better Pakistan…..’
‘wah sher (PML-N). imran khan tou chor number 1’. PTI……Pakistan Topy Insaaf’
‘Guys there is nothing for u in PTI as well. I guess it’s better to join JI now’
The opposite side followers are equally flamed up in their expressions:
‘LIONS OF PUNJAB…more like 1 of the biggest thieves of motherland…….may Allah reward them here and hereafter for their deeds.’
‘jb election ho ga to tmharay lion jadddah bhagnay ki tyari ker chukay hon gay…tm logon ki ankhon pae patti bandhi hui hai. Nawaz Shareef daily new suit, waistcoat or shoes pehanta hai ar IK ka sirf 1 coat hai. Raiwand mehal jo hazaro acre pe hai uski security pe 3,000 police walay hain…itna kharcha kahan se ata ahi…jawab ha koi’

‘PML N…………SARQAS WALAY Shaer hain, real lion Imran khan ha’
Above mentioned comments, no doubt, are the reflection of lack of patience, tolerance, freedom of speech and respect for multiple opinions among our young lot.
Change—a positive one is what they all desperately yearn for, they want a safe, secure and progressive Pakistan, all of them, so the dream is unanimous but self considered right paths diverse.
Being driven by the emotional speeches and colourful future dreams, Youth of Pakistan are falling apart. A country, already suffering from the ailment of ethnic, sectarian, linguistic, provincial etc divisions, is now moving to the addition of the worst kind of factioning—the party division. Youngsters today are less Pakistanis but more party workers, party’s achievements are revered, celebrated regardless of their zero addition to country’s overall progress.
What is lethal about this specific splintering is it’s rupturing the youngsters’ unity, dividing them under the banners of these so called God fathers and exhausting the youth energy in meaningless and visionless tasks.
Whereas this young energy is a precondition to any revolution and the road to collective betterment. Therefore, it is important to realise that all this heightened up passion and devotion to bring about a change may backfire unless we come out of this party worshipping attitude. It’s better to employ this firing collective energy for diverse purposeful projects without political banners, solely in the interest of Mother Land.
A true party would never keep on putting allegations against other parties—it would plainly expound its vision and specifically elucidate the road map to a splendid future. So, Youth of Pakistan better watch out lest we fall in the hands of self catastrophe.
