Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif’s visit to Karachi has borne some fruit as an important leader of the Pakthun and Punjabi communities of Karachi, former Sindh home minister Irfanullah Marwat, has agreed in principal to join the PML-Nawaz after detailed negations between the two leaders. Punjabi Pakhtun Alliance (PPI) President Marwat will formally announce his decision today (Tuesday) in a joint press conference with the former prime minister.
Talking to Pakistan Today, Marwat said that in the current political scenario, Sharif is the only leader who has the vision to deal with the difficult national and international situations being faced by the country. “Due to the incompetence of the current rulers, Pakistan has become isolated in the world and only Sharif can restart the ruined economy in the country.” The former home minister said that the PML-N chief had assured him that his party would not compromise on its policy regarding Muttahida Qaumi Movement.
