Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) Administrator Muhammad Hussain Syed laid the foundation stone of the Orangi Town Nullah Bridge Extension project on Monday. Speaking on the occasion, the administrator said that the construction of five flyovers and three underpasses would start in the current financial year. After its extension, the Orangi Nullah Bridge would have six lanes instead of four with 38 piles and 16 girders and its completion would make the whole corridor from Shahrah-e-Faisal to Siemens Roundabout signal-free. He said the extension work would be completed by April at a cost of Rs 98 million.
