Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) Senator SM Zafar on Sunday said the fact that the military leadership had appeared in the Supreme Court (SC) and presented its stance in the memogate case was unprecedented in the history of the country. During an interview with US media, Zafar said, “The step reflected on the seriousness of the matter.” He also said the army and ISI had responded through a proper channel and had ensured the respect of SC orders. He said they had written as much as they knew and had expressed it was a matter of serious concern for them.
