President will return to country soon: Rehman Malik

Interior Minister A Rehman Malik said that President Asif Ali Zardari’s health was better and he would return to the country soon. He stated this at Benazir Bhutto International Airport after his return from Dubai on Sunday.
The minister urged the masses not to pay attention to the speculations as those who are spreading the rumors would be disappointed.
Interior Minister said that there are a number of prisoners in United Arab Emirates (UAE) involved in petty cases.
“I have discussed with UAE Interior Minister about release of these prisoners.”
He said a UAE investigating team would visit Pakistan soon in this connection and a Pakistani team would also visit UAE to ascertain the correct number of these prisoners held there.
To a question about Karachi situation, the Minister said no one would be allowed to disturb the peace of Karachi.
Rehman Malik said a meeting of Pakistan Telecommunication Authority(PTA), Cyber crime wing and authorities concerned is also being held to investigate into the matter of unethical and unlawful SMS.

  1. the president should still undergo a medical board, even if recovered, to assess his suitability to hold the highest office and supreme commander.
    We cant afford to have a crippled or diminished capacity president, with his finger on the nuke trigger.
    This is the absolute minimum in maintaining nuclear credibility.
