An activist of the Islami Jamiat Talba (IJT) was abducted from Cantt Station on Sunday when he was departing for Rawalpindi. When Maaz Farooqi reached the parking area of the station along with his sister, unidentified men in a white double-cabin jeep pulled him inside their vehicle and whisked him away. The Railways policemen present near the spot did not make any attempt to stop the abductors. IJT spokesman Sohaib Ahmed told Pakistan Today that Farooqi’s life is in danger.
