Security forces conducted search operations in Qasba Colony and Kati Pahari areas of Orangi Town on Sunday and arrested 16 people. They also recovered 12 pistols, a rifle and robbed valuables from the arrested men. Separately, police arrested two men in Korangi and recovered two TT pistols from their possession. In another incident, police killed three robbers in an encounter in the SITE area. The law enforcers claimed that the robbers were looting a shop when they reached there. In the ensuing encounter, the robbers were shot dead. In Gulshan-e-Iqbal, the police foiled a robbery attempt near Disco Bakery. After an encounter, they arrested a robber identified as Shahbaz and recovered weapons from his possession. A police constable named Nizam suffered bullet injuries in the incident.
