A petition has been filed in Lahore High Court (LHC) seeking removal of President Asif Ali Zardari from his office besides restraining the president from performing his duties.
Azhar Siddique advocate who has filed the petition has taken the plea that the president has given the statement that he does not accept the constitution if any proceedings are conducted against him. President has violated the constitution by giving such statement, petitioner added.
President Zardari was sick and he was not able to run the affairs of government, therefore, he should be restrained from performing his duties and be removed from his office, petitioner prayed.
