Mohajir Qaumi Movemement – Haqiqi (MQM-H) chief Afaq Ahmed has been released from Karachi Central Jail.
He was detained under the Maintenance of Public Order (MPO) act by the Sindh Government.
The Sindh High Court (SHC) ordered Ahmed’s release on Friday as the chief law officer of the province failed to defend the grounds of detention.
A large number of party workers arrived at the jail to greet the MQM-H chief on his release.
