The eight-year-old dead girl found in bushes along the University Road near the Sheikh Zayed Islamic Centre on Wednesday was identified as Alishba, who was abducted on December 12.
Alishba, daughter of Nazir, was kidnapped when she was playing outside her home in Block 15 of the Dastagir area.

According to medical reports, the girl was tortured and raped. She was later strangled to death.
The relatives went to the morgue in Sohrab Goth to collect the body on Thursday and blocked the road there in protest and demanded the arrest of the culprits.
According to a statement, Sindh Home Minister Manzoor Wasan took strict notice of the kidnapping and the subsequent murder of girl and directed police to bring the people responsible for the crime to justice at the earliest.
He said that exemplary punishment would be meted out to the killers so that such incidents do not recur.
