The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) has tendered an apology to Pakistan for airing anti-Pakistan content and pledged that it would repair the damage by playing a documentary highlighting the sacrifices of Pakistan Army in combating terrorism, Pakistan Today learnt on Thursday. The BBC approached the All Pakistan Cable Operators Association (APCOA) and tendered an apology for televising an anti-Pakistan documentary. The BBC management pledged to the cable operators that a documentary would soon be prepared to highlight the sacrifices by Pakistan, particularly its armed forces, in combating terrorism.
Well-placed sources said that a delegation of BBC officials led by the India bureau chief met with cable operators and requested them to restore the channel’s transmission. The cable operators conditionally agreed to restore the transmission if the BBC tendered an apology to the Pakistani nation and promised not to air any anti-Pakistan content in the future.
The delegation accepted the demands of cable operators and assured that such anti-Pakistan content would not be broadcasted.
What? what nonsense! Why would the BBC compromise its editorial indepdence and tender an apology to the APCOA of all people?
Because their documentary was a pile of biased garbage, with zero informative value.
ahan, and why would they apologize to APCOA of all people?
Just Apololgy?
Well something doesn't look right here. Hard to believe BBC apologizing to an association of cable operators.
What nonsense! No such statement is on any other Newspaper's website. Most likely false. What a shame that Pakistani media blames foreign media for lying or defaming and instead resorts to it itself! Shame!
