Raja Riaz begs pardon for making alliance with PML-N

Opposition leader in the Punjab Assembly Raja Riaz while terming alliance with Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) a sin, sought pardon from the people of the province on Wednesday. Talking to reporters outside the Punjab Assembly, Raja Riaz termed Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif a Mughal emperor, alleging that the Punjab government was disinterested in the affairs of the province. He said that allying with the Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) was a big mistake and the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) wanted to make amends for it.
He said that the PPP apologises to the people of Punjab for being a part of the provincial setup. Riaz said that he would raise his voice against another amendment in the draft of the local bodies’ law and appealed to other provinces to hold the local government elections. He said that the time of local polls had passed and the institutions were working illegally now.
