PA session: First day, no show

The non-serious attitude of the treasury members forced Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) to face a severe embarrassment on the first day of the 32nd session of the Punjab Assembly. While the current round of the PA was called by the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government, it was the treasury bench itself that failed to maintain the quorum in the House and opposition member Seemal Kamran pointed out quorum when Deputy Speaker Rana Mashud was about take up the legislation of 10 bills, which included The Walled City of Lahore Bill 2011 and The Punjab Local Government (Second Amendment) Bill 2011. At the time of counting, opposition benchers outnumbered the treasury benchers in the House; since only 12 members of the treasury benches were present.
