Punjab People’s Youth Organisation President and Adviser to Prime Minister on Youth Affairs Mian Muhammad Ayub on Tuesday said the PPP-led regime would complete its tenure, win next general elections and form a coalition government for next five years.
He challenged PML-N to topple the democratic government at the Centre if it had strength. He was confident that there was no threat to the government from protest movements or Memogate scandal. He said Mansoor Ijaz was an incredible person who had been involved in anti-state and anti-army activities. He said PPP was the largest and only party having roots in all the four provinces, Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. Commenting on PML-N’s public meeting in Larkana, he said it was a flop show and the huge money spent on it should have been used on treatment of dengue patients and welfare of masses. He added people wanted solution to their problems and had totally rejected negative politics. Mian Ayub said Sharif brothers should be thankful to Shaheed Benazir Bhutto who paved the way for their return from Saudi Arabia to Pakistan though they were bound to stay outside the country as per their agreement with a dictator. Mian Ayub said the PPP reposed full confidence in President Asif Ali Zardari, adding he would come back and face all challenges as he had done several times in the past. Meanwhile, the prime minister’s adviser enquired after Federal Information Minister Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan and discussed with her various party matters.
